The program opens at the main input screen.

  1. Set the Date of Injury, Date of Birth, Average Weekly Earnings and the Occupation. The program uses these values for all rating calculations and cannot proceed without them. In the trial version, you can click the "Fill Example" menu item to fill all of these fields.

2. Enter impairment ratings
q      
Click the ‘+’ symbol next to the appropriate disability or double-click on the description.
    o      
The program shows the specific disability descriptions offered.
q      
Click on the desired specific disability description
    o      
This will enable the input section of the form and move your cursor to the ‘Enter Disability’ textbox.
q      
Enter the standard impairment rating between 0 and 100.
q      
Make sure the default scale is appropriate. If not, select a new scale.
q      
Enter any additional Subjectives (in the WPI scale) between 0 and 3.
q   Enter the percentage of disability NOT caused by this injury. 0 is default.
q      
If an extremity, be sure to check the side of the body involved.
q     
After the above steps, click the ‘Add Impairment’ button.     The rating is added     to the list at the bottom of the screen.
q      
Repeat the above steps as needed.

q       To delete an item already entered, click on the item and a popup menu will appear. Select the ‘Delete Selected’ item.
q      
To edit an item already entered, click on the item and a popup menu will appear. Select the ‘Edit Selected’ item.

3. Edit the display data and click ‘OK’
q      
This data can be output to your finished rating. In the trial version, you can click the "Fill Example" button to fill all of these fields for you.

4. Finish the rating
q      
When ready, click the ‘Finish…’ menu item at the top of the window.
o      
Your impairment ratings are automatically combined and converted.
o       The dollar value is calculated  and displayed. 

5. Return to the data entry
q      
When ready, click the ‘Return…’ menu item at the top of the window
o      
To begin a new rating, click the ‘File’ | ‘New’ menu
o      
To delete an item already entered, click on the item and a popup menu will     appear. Select the ‘Delete Selected’ item.

5. Edit the rating      
q      
Include Display Data (employee name, claim number, WCAB number, etc.) 
q       Include Essential Variables (DOI, DOB, AWE, Occupation and Group No.)

6. Output the rating (Full Version Only)
q      
From the ‘File’ menu, select one of the following options:
o      
Save As
o      
Open in Word Processor
q      
From the ‘Edit’ menu
o      
Copy/Cut and Paste to another windows application (e.g., your file notes)
